The Instrument That’s Not an Instrument

When is a hand not a hand? When is an instrument not an instrument? This riddle comes to mind when I think of a rare form of spanking which does not appear often in descriptions or instructions about discipline. No, it’s not the sound of one hand clapping: for those who like hand spankings for their intimacy and also like instruments for their power, there is the hand spanking with . . . a glove on. I’ve never given a spanking of this nature myself, but I did look up the topic to see what others did, or what they recommended as far as gloves. 

Naturally, to allow the hand spanking to be more powerful, we’d need a glove which was firm, and did not have soft insulation in it. I first looked up spanking gloves, and what came up was a BDSM-ish looking glove that actually had metal slices in it. That looked like it could be rather bloody, so it did not get my attention, even though without the metal it didn’t look too bad. One commenter online recommended simple biker gloves as spanking gloves, ones which are made of leather and sometimes cut off around mid-finger. From the look of them, they could add the needed power to a hand spanking, being leather, and not apparently insulated. I assume any similar leather glove, whether for driving or cycling, could provide the safe effect, if they were not too soft in the interior. 

Why this option is not more popular, I don’t know. Perhaps most men haven’t thought of the idea. I didn’t think of it until fairly recently. Also, leather gloves, biker or otherwise are not cheap. If you already invest in instruments though, it may be worth it. I’ve seen various kinds of leather gloves, whether for biking or other purposes, selling for between $30 and $90. The lower end isn’t bad, and it provides you a spanking tool you can use for other useful purposes. Some are insulated, and this may soften the desired firm spanking. 

Gloves also qualify as a spanking tool you can leave lying around the house, looking innocent enough. Much like the belt, the wooden spoon, and a few others, it has its place in any home and doesn’t need to be hidden. If it’s only for spanking, you may want only one glove for either your left or right hand, whichever you prefer when you give a spanking. It will save you money if they allow you to order only one glove and not the pair. Or you could take up biking just so you’ll have an excuse to have leather biking gloves, and you get a fun and somewhat dangerous hobby to go with home discipline. Cycling gloves similarly include some made of leather, and the lower price end is slightly lower than biker gloves.

Using gloves obviously would give you one great advantage. This is the ability to experience the joy of giving a hand spanking, while carrying the power capacity of an instrument spanking. Not everyone wants this, but I definitely would enjoy that advantage. Hand spankings are more personal, and have a close physical contact that other kinds do not. If anything, you’d have to be more careful in giving this kind of hand spanking, since it carries more power than usual. Similarly, the use of a glove gives to the instrument spanking more precision and speed, without the worry of having to grip an item, or adjust a grip. It allows instrument spanking to gain its own unique advantages. You can easily land it where you want to. 

If you choose this route, you would also want a glove which fits firmly, and this may include an actual strap which holds the glove tight. If not, the glove may start slipping off after several swats, and have to be continually returned to place. However, many biker gloves come in varieties which are either tight, or have straps to hold them in place, an obvious bonus for riding with them. Ordering the right size will matter, but if the glove has a strap, and the size is a little too big, it won’t come off. 

Every spanking tool comes with some method of correct usage. While it may seem intuitive how to use a glove in spanking, one cause for concern needs to be noted. Leather can deliver a more stunning punishment than a bare hand, while simple hand spankings over the knee tend to be long and include many many smacks on the bottom. For this reason, it’s good to take note of how hard the punishment is and how it is affecting her bottom, since it may be good to hold a leather-glove spanking to fewer slaps than a regular hand spanking. It’s never going to be the same as the hand, so take some time to get an idea of how much force to use and how long the punishment should last. A bare-handed spanking can easily be hundreds of spanks long, being fast and continuous, while one wearing the glove likely will be shorter.

There may be ladies grumbling under their breath now because I’m giving their husbands the idea, but it can’t be any worse than getting the paddle on your behind. I hope you can see, as well as I do, their potential advantages. They are also a cost investment, while being one you can use for another purpose besides discipline. They allow the intimacy of a hand spanking with the greater power of a leather instrument.
